I recently stayed at a charming lodge tucked away in a peaceful forest setting, just a short drive from Kaiteriteri. The owner, Stu, was friendly and welcoming, and the cabins were clean and comfortable. The lodge had great amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen and free WiFi. It was the perfect base for exploring Abel Tasman National Park and enjoying the nearby MTB trails. I especially loved the beautiful birdsong and the opportunity to disconnect from the outside world. I will definitely stay here again.

    I do recommend this hotel.

The lodge is situated in a beautiful and secluded location, surrounded by nature. Guests can enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility of the area. There are shared kitchen facilities available, which are well-maintained, allowing guests to cook their own meals. Additionally, the rooms are clean and in excellent condition, providing a comfortable stay.

Some guests have mentioned that the dorm rooms can be a bit cramped, especially when all the beds are occupied.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were always available to offer suggestions and assistance.

The rooms were a bit on the smaller side, which made it challenging to keep things organized.

My recent stay at Kanuka Ridge was absolutely delightful. I was in Marahau for a few days and found the lodge to be the perfect base for exploring the area. The unit I stayed in was not only clean and cute, but also had a peaceful and lovely outlook. The kitchen, dining area, and lounge were immaculate, and every tiny detail was thought of. The hosts, Stu and Andi, were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their cheery morning and afternoon greetings, along with their suggestions for things to do, added a personal touch to the experience. I couldn't have asked for more from my stay at Kanuka Ridge.

It was wonderful to have dinner and breakfast outside, surrounded by nature and enjoying the mild temperatures. The host was incredibly helpful, offering valuable advice and even giving us a ride to the start of the Abel Tasman great walk. We had an amazing stay at Kanuka Ridge! Andi's warm welcome and friendly smile set the tone for our visit. The pathway to our room was impeccably maintained, with the soothing sounds of cicadas filling the air. The room was cozy, tidy, and spotlessly clean, as were all the other facilities. Stu's local tips were a highlight, providing us with valuable insights and stories. We can't wait to return to this lovely lodge!

loved the secluded location, kids could chat in the lounge while we slept. Well-equipped kitchen, plenty of space. Weka birds greeted us during meals, such a treat. The owner, Stu, was friendly and welcoming. Clean and comfortable room, exceeded expectations. Closer to the action than it feels. Will stay again.

Room size was small for the price.
